A Relaxing Weekend at The Weekend Farmer

How long to read this? 1 minute

Ever have those days where you just want to un-connect from the rest of the world for a couple of days? Well, it’s becoming a trend and I couldn’t be happier – because I just love un-connecting.

Our family recently went to The Weekend Farmer, located in Alfonso, Cavite and it was just lovely. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting it to be as relaxing as it was. When we arrived, the caretaker showed us the room that we rented, then brought us homemade Passion Fruit juice, which was very refreshing considering how hot it was!

The #1 thing that I love about The Weekend Farmer is that it has the perfect vibe to un-connect from the rest of the world and just appreciate nature.

Here are pictures of the 2 guesthouses and dining area.

The place is just lovely. Not to mention the food they serve – delicious and healthy (because it’s from their organic farm). I am not much of a fan of organic food but The Weekend Farmer’s food is definitely worth trying (you don’t need to stay the night to try it, go there for lunch!).

The Weekend Farmer also promotes its tour, where they show you their home-grown vegetables, piggery, fruit trees, beehives, and more!

My favorite part was, none other than, the Desert Fathers Brew.  Their craft beer has lovely flavors, it’s home-brewed and cheap! If you want to try this out, and drink plenty, book your stay at The Weekend Farmer.
