5 Places to Bike in Metro Manila and the South

I’ve been biking around Metro Manila now for about 2 years with my wife, family and friends. These are some of our favorite routes and places to ride. If you like long rides and you can stand the heat, these are the places to go.

Be sure to always wear sunblock and make sure you have enough water and protein bars for long rides like these.

We like┬áto try new places and routes but when we can’t find any we usually go with ‘Nuvali – Reverse Palace – Tagaytay – Nuvali’ or ‘Trece – Tagaytay – Trece’. We just recently did the Trece – Kaybiang Tunnel – Trece and it was pretty fun. We plan to do it again sometime soon and maybe add a bit of distance too.

If you’re looking for the best places to bike in Metro Manila and the South, these are the top 5 places, as of this writing. We have plans to try new routes┬áso I might have another list of places to bike in the near future.

Reminders for biking:

a. Always wear a helmet

b. Always bring enough water

c. Always have a couple protein bars (you never know how far the next sari-sari store is)

d. Always try to have a companion

e. Always have your cellphone fully charged (in case of emergencies)

f. Always look before crossing and overtaking

g. Always wait for your companion (even if he/she tells you it’s okay to go ahead)

Happy Biking and Stay Safe!!!
